Special Education Teacher (IRR) - Augusta Area
Evans, GA
We are seeking three qualified Special Education Teachers to work with students in Augusta, GA area for this upcoming school year. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for educators experienced in providing specialized instruction and supporting students with Individualized Education Programs.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Contract: Full-time, 2026–2027 school year
- Setting: On-site only
- Caseload: To be determined
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, and related-service providers
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and special education documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support an inclusive, structured, and positive learning environment
- Apply effective classroom and behavior-management strategies
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Special Education teaching certification/licensure
- Experience working in a school-based special education setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and classroom-management skills
- Availability to work full-time throughout the school year
