- Two elementary (K-5) inclusion teaching positions
- One elementary (K-5) self-contained classroom role
- One middle school (grades 6-8) inclusion teaching opportunity
Each role is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week, and comes with invaluable para support in the classroom.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; master’s degree preferred
- Experience providing specialized instruction in inclusion or self-contained settings
- Knowledge of IEP processes and adapting lessons to diverse learning needs
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
What You'll Do:
- Design and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with student IEPs
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Promote social-emotional growth and advocate for student needs
