Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential or eligibility in California
- Experience working with students in special education programs, preferably in a school setting
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with families, support staff, and general education teachers
- Classroom management expertise and creative problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs and curriculum standards
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school psychologists
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and strategies for support
- Uphold compliance with federal, state, and school policies related to special education
