Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid California Educational Specialist credential is required
  • Previous experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction and adaptive learning strategies
  • Flexibility and compassion for diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with administrators, fellow educators, and families to support student growth
  • Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to evaluations and progress reports
  • Encourage student independence and social-emotional development within an inclusive classroom
  • Create a safe, supportive classroom in alignment with school and district policies
