Special Education Teacher | Fremont, California

As a Special Education Teacher working in the Resource Learning Center, you will make a direct impact on the academic and personal growth of K-5th grade learners. This contract opportunity runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year, offering a chance to work closely with up to 28 students in an inclusive, culturally rich setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience with K-5th grade students in special education settings
- Familiarity with Resource Learning Center or similar models preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive student population
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with varying needs within the Resource Learning Center
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the broader team
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to address unique learning goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and intervention
- Partner with staff to facilitate accommodations and create positive classroom environments
- Engage families in the educational process and communicate student progress regularly
