Bring your passion for supporting diverse learners to a vibrant Spanish immersion elementary environment as a Resource Learning Center (RLC) Teacher. This impactful contract opportunity offers you the chance to make a daily difference for K-5th grade students within a collaborative and innovative school community near Hayward, CA. Working 7.5 hours a day, you'll support a maximum caseload of 28 students, providing targeted resource services from now until the end of the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential
- Experience working in an elementary school setting, ideally K-5
- Strong commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Clear communication and proven collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff
- Familiarity with Dual Language or Spanish Immersion programs is a plus
- Organizational skills to manage caseload, documentation, and scheduling efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and facilitate resource learning sessions for students with IEPs, tailoring instruction to meet a range of learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and specialists to support student progress in both Spanish and English
- Develop appropriate accommodations and modifications to maximize student success within the immersion curriculum
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences
- Foster a welcoming, encouraging classroom climate with a focus on student growth and self-advocacy
- Maintain records and documentation in accordance with school and district expectations
