Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in classroom settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students and colleagues
- Adaptability and creativity in delivering differentiated instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction to students with varying disabilities, both in small groups and one-on-one
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans in alignment with individual education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student achievement
- Assess student performance and progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing thoughtful insights and advocating for student needs
- Maintain organized records and compliance with state and federal guidelines
