Join Eastside Union Elementary School District for the 2026–2027 school year! We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Education Specialist (Extensive Support Needs/Moderate to Severe) teachers to support students in self-contained elementary classrooms.
Position Details
District: Eastside Union Elementary School District
Location: Lancaster, California
Schedule: Full-Time
Grade Levels: 2nd–3rd Grade
Classroom Setting: Self-Contained ESN (Moderate/Severe)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Valid California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Education Specialist Moderate/Severe Credential (or equivalent certification eligible for California).
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
