Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly with high-incidence student populations
- Comfort supporting students with toileting and managing challenging behaviors
- Strong collaborative skills to coordinate with paraprofessionals and related service staff
- Demonstrated ability to implement IEPs and document student progress effectively
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction in a structured classroom for elementary-aged students
- Employ positive behavior support strategies and individualized interventions
- Collaborate regularly with paraprofessionals, therapy staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain accurate reporting and records in compliance with regulatory and district standards
- Foster a supportive environment that respects the dignity and unique abilities of every student
