Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education, or eligibility for certification.
- Experience with early childhood/elementary grades, particularly Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to interact with students, families, and staff.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability to diverse learning needs.
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction for K-2 students with varying exceptionalities.
- Assess students’ needs and craft effective, data-driven lesson plans.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student growth.
- Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in relevant meetings.
- Provide feedback and support to parents and caregivers.
