Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license (state-specific or eligible for WA certification)
- Prior experience teaching Life Skills or working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to adapt to new environments and embrace new teaching approaches
- Must be able to work onsite for the entire contract
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and support elementary-aged students in a Life Skills classroom
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and school teams
- Track student progress and maintain documentation
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment
