Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience in special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and related documentation
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with diverse needs
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and school policies
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and modifications
- Maintain accurate and timely student records, including progress monitoring
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
