Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Prior experience working with students in special education settings, preferably at the elementary or high school level
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work alongside general education teachers, administrators, and families
- Knowledge of various instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans to meet each student's IEP goals
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to reach diverse learners
- Collaborate with staff and parents for effective educational planning
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional development
- Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student well-being and growth
Position Details:
- Full-time–Monday through Friday; between 32 to 37.5 hours per week
- Contract role spanning from August 2026 through June 2027
- Two positions available: one at the elementary level and one at the high school level
