Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active special education teaching certification (no emergency certifications accepted)
- Prior experience working with K-12 students, including elementary, middle, and/or high school
- Experience or strong interest in Emotional Support and Autistic Support instructional settings
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varied learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in Emotional Support and Autistic Support classrooms
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with related service providers, support staff, and administrators
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
