What You’ll Need:
- Valid and active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (required)
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort developing and implementing IEPs in a resource or inclusion setting
- Reliable, adaptable, and positive attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve two middle school RSP caseloads, providing direct instruction and support to students with mild to moderate needs
- Develop, review, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in cooperation with staff and families
- Partner with general education teachers to modify curriculum and deliver accommodations
- Track student progress, monitor goal attainment, and maintain compliance with all special education laws and procedures
- Communicate consistently with families and interdisciplinary teams
