Special Education Teacher - Henrico, Virginia

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia teaching license in one of the following:
- Special Education: General Curriculum (PreK–12)
- Special Education: Adapted Curriculum (PreK–12)
- Early Childhood Special Education (Birth–Age 5)
- Previous experience in special education, particularly with early childhood or elementary self-contained classrooms, is valued
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Passion for individualized instruction and inclusive education
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction according to each students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Develop engaging lesson plans and differentiated activities that address various learning styles and needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records
