Special Education Teacher in Hephzibah, GA

Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Georgia Special Education Teacher Certification (documentation is mandatory for consideration)
- Previous experience in school-based special education, especially working with students on the autism spectrum, is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms, implement IEPs, and effectively collaborate with general education colleagues
- Commitment to full-time, on-site work for the complete academic year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and behavioral support to students diagnosed with autism
- Create, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student growth and inclusion
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to support each student’s academic and social success
- Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and ensure compliance with all regulations and best practices in special education
