- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage IEP documentation and ongoing parent communication
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and creativity in developing tailored instructional strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with learning and social-emotional needs in grades 6–8
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with guidelines and best practices
- Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles and academic goals
- Track student progress, communicate results to stakeholders, and participate in meetings as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
