Make a meaningful impact by supporting 3rd to 6th grade students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from late August through mid-June and is based in a dedicated center environment, fostering growth for a small, focused caseload of around 10 students. Working 35 hours a week, you’ll be able to build connections and help shape positive educational experiences for the children you serve.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, especially in grades 3-6
- Familiarity with individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Strong skills in classroom management, communication, and collaboration
- Ability to engage students through creative and adaptive teaching strategies
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, adapt, and deliver instructional content to meet the individualized goals of each student within the caseload
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to support student learning and progress
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports
- Cultivate a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth
- Advocate for the needs and development of each student
