This position offers the opportunity to support students’ individual educational needs for the entire school year by creating an inclusive, empowering classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with high school students in a resource or special education classroom preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to identified high school students in a resource classroom setting
- Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and accommodations to foster student engagement and growth
- Track student progress and maintain thorough, accurate records as required
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student development, progress, and needs
- Support students with behavior management strategies as needed
This is a full-time, 37.5 hour per week contract opportunity for the full school year, providing the chance to build meaningful connections and have a lasting impact on students’ academic journeys.
