Requirements and Desired Experience:
- Valid Florida ESE certification
- K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a self-contained classroom
- Strong classroom management and lesson adaptation skills
- Passion for helping students reach their full potential
- Must complete fingerprinting or provide previous eligibility verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse
- Prepared to participate in an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen interview to confirm suitability
Responsibilities:
- Lead an elementary-level self-contained ESE classroom, providing instruction for students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned to IEP goals
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with school staff and administrators to ensure consistent support for students
- Monitor and document student progress, communicating regularly with parents and educational teams
