Desired Qualifications:
- Current Florida ESE Certification AND either K-6 or PK-3 General Education Certification (both required)
- Previous experience in a self-contained ESE classroom
- Strong ability to manage caseloads involving multiple learning levels and exceptionalities
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, individualized learning environment
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong classroom management skills
- Willingness to complete all required fingerprinting and credentialing steps, including the AHCA Clearinghouse verification and JLA badge application
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained ESE classroom, adapting curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators, support staff, and families to promote academic and social growth
- Maintain clear, accurate records on student progress and implement IEPs faithfully
- Cultivate an engaging, safe, and inclusive classroom climate for all students
