- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and a resourceful approach to problem-solving
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction tailored to students’ needs within an autism unit setting
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and staff
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a classroom environment where safety, respect, and positive reinforcement guide daily interactions
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators, support staff, and related service providers
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
