Special Education Teacher - Joliet, IL

Desired Qualifications:
- Valid State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience in a self-contained classroom or working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management skills and familiarity with IEP processes
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families
- Adaptable and proactive attitude with a passion for advocacy and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and IEP goals
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement
- Monitor, document, and communicate student progress towards goals
- Collaborate with other educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure cohesive support
- Engage families in ongoing conversations about student needs, progress, and strategies for success
