Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in functional life skills, autism, or cognitive impairment programs
- Strong collaborative skills for working with support staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to student growth and inclusion
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student goals and abilities
- Provide thoughtful, differentiated instruction to promote progress in both academic and daily living skills
- Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments where all students feel valued and motivated to learn
