Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Effective classroom management and communication abilities
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in a school setting
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans based on individual student needs, IEP goals, and curriculum
- Deliver instruction in both small group and one-on-one settings for students with disabilities
- Assess student progress, track goals, and communicate results with families and involved professionals
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide documentation, and remain current with best practices and legal requirements
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Support each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists for seamless inclusion and transition plans
