Bilingual Therapies is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher Consultant to support middle school Special Education programming in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs through the 2026–2027 school year and is ideal for an experienced Special Education educator with strong knowledge of the IEP process, compliance, and student support services.
Position Details
Full-time position
36.25 hours per week
8:05 AM–3:05 PM
15-minute duty period before or after school
Contract dates: ASAP–June 11, 2027
Middle school setting
Teacher Consultant supporting Special Education programming
Onsite position
Responsibilities
Support IEPs, 504 plans, METs, evaluations, MTSS, and progress monitoring.
Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service teams.
Provide student interventions and behavioral support.
Assist with Special Education compliance and programming.
Support effective implementation of individualized student services.
Qualifications & Experience
Active Michigan Teaching Certificate with one of the following endorsements required: SM, SE, SA, or SV.
Teacher Consultant Approval OR 3+ years of successful Special Education teaching experience in Michigan required.
Strong knowledge of IDEA, MARSE, and the IEP process required.
School-based Special Education experience required.
