Opportunities available include:
- 10 openings at the elementary level
- 5 positions for middle school
- 4 high school roles
- 2 alternative school/Bridges program roles serving all grade levels (focused on severe behaviors)
Eligible candidates will have active Kansas teaching licensure for their desired grade level prior to consideration. Licensure verification is required before being submitted for district review.
Essential qualifications:
- Valid and active Kansas special education licensure corresponding to grade level
- Experience supporting students with life skills, autism spectrum disorders, and/or behavioral needs preferred
- Adaptability and strong communication abilities
- Collaboration skills for working with support staff, families, and administration
- Commitment to individualized education and positive behavioral supports
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver personalized instruction based on each student’s unique needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Employ effective classroom management and positive behavior interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student support
