What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (Moderate/Severe or related credential required)
- Previous experience working with students in Moderate/Severe (M/S), middle school, or transition programs preferred
- Strong IEP development and implementation skills
- Ability to foster a positive and productive learning environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate/severe needs
- Manage classroom routines and implement behavior management strategies
- Adapt curriculum and provide accommodations and modifications to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related services, and support staff
- Collect and record data on student progress, maintaining thorough and compliant documentation
- Engage parents and caregivers as partners in the student’s educational journey
