What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active New Jersey special education teaching license (required)
- Experience working in K-12 special education environments; familiarity with elementary, middle, or high school preferred
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a range of caseloads and student needs
- Commitment to collaborating with general education teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress-monitor student goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored, engaging instruction to students with identified special needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth by adapting teaching methods and materials
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support inclusive practices within general education classrooms as needed
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress and address concerns
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as required
