Special Education Teacher - Lansdale, Pennsylvania

In this role, you’ll collaborate with fellow educators and families to foster social, emotional, and academic growth, while building strong, supportive relationships with your students. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in emotional support or similar special education setting preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
- Dedication to inclusive, student-centered education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with emotional support needs in grades 4 and 5
- Maintain and update IEPs, documenting student progress and adapting strategies as necessary
- Utilize proactive behavior management strategies to create a positive, structured learning environment
- Engage with families and allied professionals to coordinate comprehensive support for each student
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities
