Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Certified Special Education Teacher, with valid credentials
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 1–4)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting student growth and adapting teaching strategies to meet a range of needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to small groups and individualized support as appropriate
- Implement IEPs and monitor student progress, modifying approaches as necessary
- Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
