- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive classroom environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, staff, and related service providers
- Proficiency with IEP development, goal-setting, and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group language arts instruction to students with mild to moderate special needs
- Design engaging lessons aligned with IEPs while meeting state curriculum standards
- Monitor and document student growth, adapting lesson plans and supports as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, case managers, and other specialists to foster student success
- Engage in ongoing communication with families about student progress, strategies, and support
- Participate in IEP meetings, departmental planning, and faculty professional development throughout the school year
