Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Special Education certification in Kansas is required
- Experience working with students in resource and/or self-contained (specialized) settings is preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
- Flexibility to support both elementary and secondary age groups
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions for students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster an engaging, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Adapt classroom materials and strategies based on individual student strengths and areas for growth
- Maintain accurate records; track student progress and participate in regular team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to ensure student success
These positions begin August 2026 and run through late May 2027, offering candidates a chance to truly make an impact over the entire academic year. Each teacher will work a 37.5 hour week onsite at a single campus, allowing you to become an integral part of a school community.
