Special Education Teacher in Le Roy, IL

This contract position serves K-12 students and is open to both in-person and virtual candidates, providing flexibility to fit your needs. Currently, there are two openings for dedicated educators with LBS 1 credentials.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- LBS 1 endorsement in hand
- Experience supporting K-12 students in a special education setting is preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with general education staff and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles
- Open to engaging with students virtually or onsite
Position Details and Responsibilities:
- Full-time role, 35 hours per week
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with varying needs
- Maintain compliant and up-to-date IEP documentation
- Develop and implement individualized education plans
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools to track student progress
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families for student success
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity
- Participate in IEP meetings and support school policies
