The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Special Education License is required
- Demonstrated experience in a K-12 setting strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Familiarity with a variety of teaching techniques to address diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative team spirit, with a willingness to partner with staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each student’s unique learning profile
- Implement and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and collaborate on progress reviews
- Cultivate a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Engage in ongoing communication with family members and support staff
- Participate fully in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
