Desired qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Current Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
- Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Background supporting students with behavioral challenges, including social-emotional needs
- Proficiency in implementing data-driven, research-based interventions
- Skilled at collaborating with teachers, school teams, parents, and staff
- Ability to offer effective behavior coaching and staff training
- Capacity for crisis intervention and maintaining a positive, supportive school environment
- Preferred: Credentials in school psychology, social work, school counseling, or BCBA; prior school-based behavior specialist experience
Key responsibilities:
