Special Education Teacher in Lebo, KS

Key Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Special Education teaching license required
- Previous experience with early childhood and/or elementary students—especially those on the autism spectrum or needing intensive supports
- Skill in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse needs
- Strong collaborative abilities with school staff and student families to foster progress and inclusion
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a passion for student growth in specialized environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with significant learning or behavioral needs in a supportive classroom environment
- Create and manage IEPs, monitoring progress toward academic, social, and behavioral goals
- Employ evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students’ participation and achievement
- Collaborate with other educators, paraprofessionals, and therapists to ensure holistic support for each learner
- Communicate consistently with families regarding student development and resources
- Maintain detailed records and meet all reporting requirements dictated by educational standards and regulations
