Special Education Teacher in Lansdale, PA

Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License required
- Certification in special education, or eligible for an emergency certification
- Strong background and hands-on experience working with students on the autism spectrum, preferably at the high school level
- Solid classroom management skills and the ability to implement differentiated instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of each student within an Autism Support Classroom
- Deliver direct instruction and interventions, emphasizing individualized education program (IEP) goal achievement
- Foster an encouraging, structured classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including general educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers—to optimize student outcomes
- Utilize data collection and analysis for ongoing student progress monitoring and instructional planning
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records and participate in IEP meetings
