What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans
- Excellent instructional, organizational, and communication skills
- Positive, flexible attitude and commitment to inclusive practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching teams, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students’ skills to identify necessary accommodations and modifications
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and related service providers
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate, thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom climate tailored to students’ unique learning profiles
