Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working in special education, preferably in an elementary school setting
- Strong understanding of resource room models and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for student-centered instruction and creative problem solving
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to elementary resource students
- Develop, implement, and modify IEPs based on student needs and district guidelines
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies for optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate actively in team meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
