Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid special education teaching licensure in the state or eligibility to obtain one
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse needs in a resource setting (K-2 or high school)
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to cultivate a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Previous experience working with OCS students and implementing work skills curriculum (for high school role) is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and adapt lesson plans tailored for individual student abilities and learning goals
- Provide direct instruction, academic intervention, and behavioral support
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with IEPs
- Coordinate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student inclusion
- For OCS pathway: Support life skills and foster independence, focusing on work readiness for post-graduation success
