Special Education Teacher | Mchenry, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois LBS1 and PEL credentials required
- Experience working with students diagnosed with autism preferred
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement individualized instruction plans

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of eight elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Lead and collaborate with a team of paraprofessionals to support student learning and growth
- Maintain communication with support staff, families, and administration
- Participate in meetings, training, and required district onboarding, including fingerprinting as part of pre-employment checks
This contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:45 AM to 4:05 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
