Special Education Teacher in Media, PA

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing critical support as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity working 35 hours per week from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Multiple roles are available: four positions in elementary settings and one in a middle school environment. If you thrive on helping diverse learners succeed and excel in classroom management, you’ll flourish in this role.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated expertise in special education, with mastery of instructional skills and relevant subject matter
- Experience working in schools—urban settings particularly valued
- Strong classroom presence and behavioral management abilities
- Ability to develop and execute lesson plans in line with state and district standards, using formative assessment and differentiation
- Comfortable integrating district procedures, materials, and expectations
- Holds active state certification or licensure appropriate for the assigned caseload (or qualifies for an emergency teaching permit with a bachelor’s degree)
- Successful completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Reliable transportation and readiness to commute to the school site
- Available to work onsite between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM; schedule is fixed, with no accommodations
- Confident with Zoom for interviews

- Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with exceptionalities in both group and individualized settings

- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
- Assess student needs, establish goals, and track progress regularly
