Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher licensure and certification required
- Solid, recent school-based experience supporting students with special needs
- Comfortable working in a variety of program settings: Pathways (multiple disabilities), KEY (Autism), and inclusive models
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies and collaborate with colleagues and families
- References available to complete prior to hire
- Open to working across all K-12 grade levels
- Ready to participate in an efficient, virtual Zoom interview process
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction that aligns with student IEPs
- Monitor, document, and report student progress while fostering an inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adapt curriculum and behavioral supports
- Engage in regular communication with families and staff to support student success
- Maintain compliance with state and local special education guidelines
