Key Qualifications:
- Current CT Special Education endorsement or eligibility for DSAP certification required
- Experience working with middle school students (grades 5-8) strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Adaptability to tailor instruction to meet individual educational plans and goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s learning goals
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to address multiple learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Track and document student outcomes, maintaining accurate records as required
- Participate in team meetings and continue professional development as needed
