What You Bring:
- Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License
- Current Arizona K-12 Special Education Certificate
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities, autism, or those needing focused help with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Sensitivity to the needs of at-risk youth, students from diverse backgrounds, students with limited English proficiency, and those with exceptionalities
- Proven ability to develop and execute special services, following all federal, state, and local guidelines
- Completion of or willingness to attend Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) professional development
Responsibilities Include:
- Leading a self-contained classroom focused on structured, intensive behavioral and academic support
- Developing and adapting individualized education plans for each student
- Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to help students achieve their goals
- Collaborating with fellow educators and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for every student
- Creating an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment where all students can thrive
- Maintaining clear documentation and ensuring compliance with all mandates
