What We’re Seeking:
- Current Arizona state teaching license specific to Special Education
- Hold a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Proven experience or training in special education, ideally at the junior high level
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside educational teams and families
- Confidence with individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 9 junior high students in the SPICE I program
- Create and adapt lesson materials to suit each learner’s individualized goals
- Partner with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic student development
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while maintaining documentation and compliance
- Cultivate a welcoming and structured classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and participation
- Engage in regular communication with families to celebrate progress and address needs
