Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid and active Minnesota teaching license—required for consideration.
- Experience teaching special education in K-12 settings highly preferred.
- Confidence creating and adapting individual education plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and student advocacy skills.
- Capacity to collaborate with related service providers, families, and administration.
- Ability to manage and support therapeutic interventions as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support to students with disabilities in alignment with their IEPs.
- Develop, document, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, paraprofessionals, and related therapists to create the best learning environment possible.
- Provide behavioral and classroom management.
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and training sessions.
- Adjust instructional strategies and materials to meet diverse learning profiles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued.
