Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification; PreK certification preferred, but elementary credentials considered
- Experience working with a range of disabilities and behavioral challenges
- Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability and willingness to be onsite, working hands-on with students and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs and strengths
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Develop classroom strategies to promote academic progress, social-emotional growth, and behavioral management
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation as required
- Contribute positively to school culture and participate in professional development opportunities
